Blogging
One of my "secrets" is that I own a network of blogs around the Internet. On those blogs, I will write articles about my product or
offering, or my clients' products and offerings. Then, I will place links from those blogs to the sites that I am promoting. Pretty
simple huh?
Getting the right blog
I look for very specific things when I am deciding on buying a domain name to use to blog market my other sites. I look for things that
carry some of the same keywords that I am trying to win on with the search engines, I look for expiring domains rather than buying new
domains. they are 5-6 times more expensive the first year, but well worth the cost.
Why expiring domains?
There are several reasons I buy expiring domains rather than new domains through traditional registrars.
 |
domain may already have traffic |
 |
domain may already have a Google PR |
 |
domain will be older |
 |
domain may be listed in DMOZ or Yahoo! directories already |
Since the search engines like all of the above listed items, it gives you an instant boost in your potential rankings. Consider
this. If you were to get a link from a site with a PR of 5 to link to your site from their home page, that would be pretty good
right? But how are you going to do that? Email them? Pay them? It is tremendously difficult to get a legitimate website to link
to you without some form of payment or trade.
Now, what if you OWNED a PR 5 website? Then you could place a link there anytime you wanted to. That is the beauty of buying high
ranking sites that others are letting go.
Over 30,000 domains will delete today. Search the database right now!
The end result
When I begin marketing a site now or one of my own products or offerings, I post to my personal blogosphere and my site is off
and running on the search engines. This is one of the methods that I charge big money for and you are learning it for free. For a
very small price, you can get sites that will help you market your main site and make you more money.
