Catchy title huh?  I am writing this article to address something I often hear from SEO sales people who call us.  (yep, they call us too)  They will say something like, “we have an alliance with Google (b.s.) and we can get you on page one in one day.(more b.s.)”

If you get this call, hang up immediately.  SEO campaigns take time.  Generally speaking the full impact of organic SEO efforts cannot be seen for three months or more.  So companies promising that they can get you on page one in a day are merely speaking about PPC or they are lying to you.  It is simply impossible to get Google to move that quickly unless you get massive viral reaction to your site.  This can happen, but it usually doesn’t.
